This is a longstanding problem with the Times specifically. All the legacy papers have really taken to yoinking independent journalists’ work with zest, though, and with so many pubs opening specifically to cover culture it sucks to see papers eliminating culture coverage and just stealing ours.

Having a special interest in Faerun lore is going to get my ass caved in eventually by casual nerds, but I think I'm allowed to be at least a little bit unkind to the guy who openly said he thought sensitivity consultants were liars, lol

This is a vent related to a situation I am experiencing in a very different sphere but there's a lesson to be had: If you are attempting to reduce barriers to entry for marginalized identities, please don't turn yourself into the barrier. Set those people you're supporting up for success, dammit.
