In early 2019, Pete Buttigieg had no name recognition or money. But he's such a strong political athlete that, a year later, he went on to win Iowa and nearly win New Hampshire. So never count Pete out. He's by far the most dynamic and persuasive person who might run in 2028.

If Andy Beshear does not push this to a conclusion that either has him appointing McConnell's replacement, or McConnell reappearing, Beshear will be out of Democratic politics. We need rabble-rousers, not the same quiet, proper Dems who keep losing.
