Actual Union Boss. Also Actual Doctor of Philosophy. Speculator in Stonks. Specialist nerd in Energy Systems. #LGM

The screenshots reveal the bride, a UFCW executive director, as the kind of labor bureaucrat who treats it like any other C suite corporate job. You need to internalize certain business logics but, like Ho Chi Min using bourgeois tactics, you must never lose sight of the fundamental contradiction.

Running numbers for my Union's annual leadership retreat. Last year we increased dues-paying membership by 21%(~700). We organized 800 workers who become members after first contract. We secured 2 first contracts and a successor contract that won 50% raises in 2.5 years. Seems like we're doing ok?

OP is not an energy expert or barrel counter, but 8 bucks is plausible if you have a big refinery disaster in the US. Such a disaster gets more likely the longer utilization rates stay near 100% since everyone is pushing out maintenance downtime to capture record crack spreads.

There is a real choice in this race, and the stakes are sky-high. I'm running for U.S. Senate to make sure Minnesotans can afford their lives, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to explain my bold vision for our future. 🧵

context for that thread being passed around. i will be transparent, i think it is weird as fuck to screenshot a black woman you disagree with and write up an entire thread where you heavily imply she's a nonblack dsa member. that seems like a narrative looking for a quote and making do.

I think it is notable that the post below actively elides the context of what it's quoting, who was delivering the criticism, and what they were criticizing. I will let you guys draw your own conclusions about why they might have done so

minnesota state senator john hoffman revealed tonight at the peggy flanagan rally in st. paul that angie craig asked him for his endorsement for US senate while he was still in the ICU after vance boelter shot him really appalling anecdote!

john hoffman, MN state senator who survived an assassination attempt by vance boelter, who killed mark and melissa hortman, is here supporting omar fateh. he said fateh was his first visitor when he was in hospital. gave him a note saying “we’ll get that fucker” that is still on his fridge

The perpetual Bluesky panic over "DSA Foreign Policy" seems to ignore the fact that voters don't care about foreign policy much at all. DSA could propose the reinvasion of Hungary or Czechoslovakia and voters wouldn't notice. Most of DSA wouldn't either because no one pays attention to national!
