Och när vi pratar sakpolitik får vi höra att den är visionslös men när vi pratar vision så får vi höra att det är oseriöst om inte exakt kan förklara hur vi ska ta oss dit. Ska inte sticka under stolen med att det är frustrerande att sen få kritik för att vi är för luddiga/konkreta/tystlåtna.

I disagree. Le Pen hasn’t instigated a coup d’état. Meloni does not have track record of openly racist remarks. And Orbán accepted his electoral defeat. Not to say that Europeans would no longer vote for these leaders if they did, but we simply don’t know yet. Trump is much more extremist!

Tl;dr: Americans have trouble understanding there is ~nothing unique about Trump. He is part of the broad wave of far right parties/politicians since 2008 across rich democracies. Our institutions just suck more. Europeans have trouble understanding there is ~nothing unique about Trump. See above.
