I finished reading Redwall but a lot of people keep talking about this book so I guess this is what I'm reading next. I have high expectations for it, which I hate having when I try anything new, so we'll see how this goes.

Games I Completed in 2026 #12: Splatoon Raiders I did not play #Splatoon 3 because the competitive modes have just completely left me behind. I'm terrible. But I love the character designs and world and was excited to play a single-player focused game. It's incredible. Please make more.

Something that really sucks and as I'm learning is hard to explain to people who don't experience this is how difficult it is to eat at a restaurant with autism and a sensitivity to voices. Sitting next to another group of people is always nerve wracking because I can hear their conversations clear.

Games I beat in 2026: Splatoon Raiders A really fun looter shooter that was just the perfect length and just the right difficulty. I'd heard it was hard, and while there were some challenging bits, it's well balanced IMO! Not sure how much post-game stuff I'll do though.

In better news, we had a bunch of store credit at a game store and they got a mint condition copy of Parasite Eve II CIB and I own that now. I'm super excited!

For me, the most infuriating part of adulthood has been getting stuck in what I call the "Career Denial Cycle." Everyone I know is talking about how terrible and horrible their jobs and "the grind" is. Meanwhile I still can't get a job like, at all. (1/6)

I've been doing some studying and practicing for the last week or so. I'm enjoying the learning process so far, and I'm surprised at my ability to remember the characters. I think writing them down is helping me a lot. I'm terrible at writing some of them. 😅

This isn't a monumental achievement or anything but for the first time in my life I cooked taco meat and made tacos! 🌮

Cooking journal 2: We made pasta with storebought sauce for the first time today. We had a bit of an overflow from leaving the heat on too high and removed it for a bit so the noodles weren't as soft. Plus I tried a technique for the sauce that also didn't work. But life is all about learning.

I want you all to know I almost answered this question wrong because the internet calling them "birbs" has ruined me. The localizers absolutely did this on purpose too. #YakuzaKiwami3

I'm currently playing Crimson Desert and I have A LOT of thoughts and this in turn got me thinking... ... Maybe I should make my own website and catalogue my thoughts on games and life and stuff. Just a freeform place to write whatever.
