Spent the day staying up and making a nice creamy ramen brunch for myself so it's safe to say my birthday went okay as far as things go. Sadly couldn't spend time with irl best friend/brother but hopefully next week we'll do something together once he's better from being sicky.
I get that I’m “The ZIM guy” but this is always the kind of stuff that inspires me. In fact certain movies, this, Don’t Look Up, Beau is Afraid, they always make me think of the kind of worlds I obsess over, for how grotesque and how possessed of a desire to say something, even something hideous.

Telling, that is, in that it shows how financial capitalism and patriarchy work together to dissuade men from doing "unprofitable" labor, like the work of care.

You probably think this is a touch of hyperbole. If you do, that just tells me not only are you not paying attention, you are actively ignoring all the trans people this has happened to. This is life in the UK as a trans person in 2026.
