I was disappointed there was no bucket of water to pour down on me, but I worked it; bitch! I was NOT dressed appropriately, but going to a dance class wasn't on my agenda this week.

The actual harsh truth about MAHA is that it is an anti-vaxx, anti-science, pro-diarrhea conspiracy movement. It cloaks its arguments in abstractions about "big pharma" and "free speech" to generate *the exact op-ed The Atlantic keeps publishing*. Movements like this need to be fought, not placated.
And sorry about the typos in the first statement, but I imagine this horror is what people felt when sending fugitive slaves back to the South. You know, it is a horror, and yet, people want to compel us to support that horror.
As the piece admits, the second MAHA took power it started gutting basic science, promoting quack treatments and loosening health regulations. *This* is what the movement is. Yet it's up to critics not to conclude or predict anything from these actions and bend over backward to find common cause.
The argument is always the same: Rather than judge MAHA supporters on what they do, we should judge them on what they say. This is dangerously uninformed about how conspiracy movements work.
