Big tax results out of Missouri tonight: Voters statewide rejected by an huge margin a GOP ballot measure to phase out the income tax. They also renewed a sales tax to keep state parks free. And Kansas City approved a package of $1.7 billion of bonds for infrastracture.

And then the decision comes out three days later. Did Chief Justice Marshall just start writing the opinion on day 1 of oral argument and then let the lawyers prattle on for 8 more days?

This warms my election law professor heart. 💞
God bless my nerdy kids watching the election results. Lol. Tear of pride.
OMG Google AI just spit out this crap: "A Federalist Congress refers to the early United States legislative bodies (roughly from 1789 to 2001) dominated by the Federalist Party ..." You all remember the Federalist Party which was really big in the 1990s like Nirvana. 🤷🏾♀️

And I’m talking about gallon sized jugs of detergent or larger. How is someone supposed abscond with a giant jug of detergent? 🧺🧼
Had a similar experience in a Target in San Francisco. It was the first time I had seen laundry detergent under lock down. Whatever management consultant told retailers they had to do this in big cities sucks.

Tried to pick something up in a DC CVS and good lord they really have made it impossible to shop there. Everything locked up, police strolling around the aisles, very few staff. It’s hard to fathom such an aggressively anti-customer retail outlet. Amazing.
You won't regret clicking on this beautifully told story by @lsommer.bsky.social about the Pacific Ocean and how the Trump regime is opening some marine monuments to commercial fishing.
These are some of the last pristine ocean ecosystems. Now, they're losing protections
The largest conservation areas in the U.S. are in the Pacific Ocean, where tiny islands are epicenters of biodiversity. The Trump administration is now opening their waters to commercial fishing, spar...

LOL. Abdul El-Sayed WON the Democratic Primary in Michigan despite being outspent 10-1! Amazing gaslighting here.
Progressives didn’t get the big election night they wanted
BIG: Kansas just rejected a ballot measure that would have required state Supreme Court justices to be elected rather than appointed by the governor — dealing another setback to Republicans trying to overturn a decision that established a constitutional right to abortion.

A friend dug up a piece I did on my experience running NYP Ryan F. Larkin Field Hospital during the COVID crisis in NYC. In light of all of the madness this week I updated it. I was there. I saw what this disease did and the desperate fight we were in to stop it. It was much worse than you know.
Revisiting a unique moment: How hard can it be?
As it turns out running a Covid Field Hospital in New York City was actually pretty hard
