I’m not sure if it’s my bias for gravitating toward anything religion based. But McDonald & Dodds S3 E3 is so far theeeee best episode. I’ve got 20 minutes left and I am super invested. Just riveting stuff. Gosh do I love British mysteries!

This is said with confidence, but it’s wrong. As a note on this note for Americans, Professor in America is also the senior non-managerial rank. Professor rankings in order: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, & finally Professor. And if you do it long enough you may get Emeritus status!

just as a note for Americans on the whole very sad Arday affair (he just resigned), becoming a 'professor' at Cambridge is a bigger deal than at a US institution. 'Professor' is the senior non-managerial academic rank in the UK; what would be 'professors' at US institutions are 'lecturers' in UK.

It’s official! I am getting a much needed surgery, radical breast reduction. Going from a G to an A/B. It’s risky in terms of my neuro pain disorder (CRPS), but it will eliminate the need for a strapped bra which aggravates my CRPS. I’m cautiously optimistic.

They needed 5 academic sources… they cited a retracted paper & the retraction, a bad-faith commentary to a good source, & twisted words of 2 excellent pieces.

i don't believe anyone has "good-faith" concerns about trans women in sports in 2026. there's been too much time to hear the actual evidence, the actual people affected, and the role the debate plays in attempts to purge trans people from American life. anybody picking that side has made a choice

Advice? My spouse cannot find a mask that fits their larger face w/o slipping when they speak. We’ve tried Powecom, Harley, and also the fish/boat style. I really can’t get sick due my medical problems. So any recommendations or experience with any durable styles (like breathe99) are very welcome.
