I make stuff move. Cinematic Animation Lead @Respawn, previously @santamonicastudio.bsky.social on God of War. Also published with @buttonshy.bsky.social! Views expressed are my own.

After the last Button Shy design challenge, I offered feedback to willing entrants in exchange for a small charitable donation. That meant watching and rewatching a lot of pitch videos, and there’s one big piece of feedback that I found myself repeating: SHOW US WHAT MAKES YOUR GAME EXCITING. 1/8

I am honored to return to the God of War saga, as the composer of God of War Laufey. I’ve been working on this for years with a stunningly talented team of developers, musicians, performers, and singers, and look forward to sharing more of all our work with you soon!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of making a game with one of my kids at TOJam (the Toronto game jam)! It's a 2-4 player local multiplayer battle game called Frogin' Tongues. If you've got a windows computer and a bunch of game controllers, you can download it here: otrain13.itch.io/frogin-tongues

Screenshot of a video game showing a top-down view of a pond surrounded by rocks. There are 4 different coloured frogs in the pond, and there are various weapons around. Some of the frogs have their tongue attached to weapons or barrels in the pond.Screenshot of the main menu for the game Frogin' Tongues showing four slots for players and UI to change frog colours. Status text for each frog reads "ready" or "not ready". Text on the screen reads "Made for TOJam 2026"

Had some zines printed up for demoing at Breakout Con this weekend! I’m pretty stoked to show off Infinite Paths in particular. It’s a really neat system with a lot of fun potential and these quickstart rules look SO GOOD in person!

Printed zines of two games, Infinite Paths and Burnword, sitting on a wood table. The cover of Infinite Paths shows a full-color image of an adventurer stepping between multiple worlds, represented by natural, science fiction, and dystopian elements. Below it, the cover of Burnword is printed with black-and-white text indicating that it is for playtesting only.A full-color interior spread of Infinite Paths showing common checks made in the game in pink, yellow, and green call-out boxes.

People who aren't in Minnesota might not know that if you drive or walk past pretty much any school, there's going to be a group of people, parents and childless, standing guard to make sure the kids are safe from feds. It's pretty remarkable. And very disturbing. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
