In case it wasn't clear, here is economist Francisco Rodríguez saying that this "deal" will only generate tax value for Venezuela that represents 4.7% of the sale price. That's less than half the royalty rate it received when US friendly dictator (Juan Vicente Gómez) sold out to US oil companies.

Text reads: President: according to your figures, this agreement will generate tax revenues of just $3.22 per barrel of Venezuelan oil. This represents 4.7% of the current price, and less than half of the royalty rate contemplated in concessions granted by Juan Vicente Gómez.

YouTube ads are pure dystopia. 9 out of 10 ads are literally scams or fake mobile games, almost all of them AI generated. You can’t tell me that Google doesn’t look away to profit off these advertisers until they annoy you enough to sign up for Premium. Disgusting.

TIL: Some Japanese products show the economic fallout of the US-Iran war and the closure of the strait. Our local import stores in Canada now have these black / white versions of popular potato chips. Not a special edition, but the need to save naphtha (color print), which is made from oil.

At this point I'm pretty sure no one who negotiates with this administration expects it to either offer a reasonable deal or to honor the terms of the deal once it's been set. The question is whether to treat it like the unreliable bully it is. We have Canada's answer, for now at least.

I was merely googling for “duskbloods network test”, and this is what the algorithm wants me to see: (img below) It’s no secret why gaming, political, and any sort of discourse has gone to the dogs. The emotive CAPS and ham acting are camp though.

Pushing aside ownership/access stuff - when it comes to internet downloadable games, something we've had for more than 20 years now, outside of Steam, they don't stick with me. They fade away into a menu or even become inaccessible. There is choice paralysis - like a rom list - for me.
