Ladies, if you’re due for your annual health screenings make sure to get them scheduled. I was a little bit overdue but I’m on the books for my doctors now. Men too- you have different health screenings to attend to, but it’s important to get those done as well. Best to stay well, all of us.

I felt like there was definitely a strong military medicine community at the time… But like I said th military and the Medicine poles also blended. Some people felt more in tune with one side or the other. But this interface was and is a thing of beauty in my opinion.
Thinking to myself… That military physicians largely dodged the bullet, because at the time we had a culture that emphasized community protection, high uptake, if not required use of vaccine, and universal access to high-quality healthcare at baseline.

The only thing I have to add to the COVID discourse: By a series of quirks I was given the job of writing the DoD's official guidance on how to triage ventilators and life sustaining devices for children. It never got published (thank god) since the wave ebbed before it was needed
The Catholic Church does not have “doctrine” per se on vaccines. What relevant papal statements statements do exist is that when weighing the proximal benefits of vaccines versus the “remote” use of fetal cell lines to help make some vaccines, it is still right & just to be vaccinated with those 💉.
