i was reminded that i made a helpful tool if you're somebody who files FOIA requests for email logs (as a spreadsheet) upload them to GraphEmails.com and you can generate network graphs of who's emailing each other, which you can style and filter (or use to filter the log)

screenshot of GraphEmails.com shows a network graph of email recipients as colorful dots, with a list of domains on the right side and a sidebar on the left with options to filter, style, and analyze the graph

Dig into the history of almost any US or Canadian city and you’ll find a map like this. The freeway building boom locked in the car dependence that reduces our freedom today. But leaders at the time wanted it to be so much worse.

The city blocked off part of our neighborhood to tear down a building w asbestos. The teen said "Why did people use asbestos if it causes cancer?!" I told him people thought it was a wonder product and used it EVERYWHERE & told him how the same thing happened w radioactivity... and now AI.

When radioactivity was discovered, there was a rush to market for all sorts of radioactive consumer goods. There were water jugs made out of uranium glass, for example. I think about that a lot these days whenever I see AI products being marketed to consumers.

Back in 2017 Kelowna pre-approved quadplexes on a few hundred lots with fast approvals and pre-approved plans and got hundreds of homes. It was a revolution for small builders who previously could only build single family homes. Now they have released their new set of 12 pre-approved designs 🧵

I would never argue that you are entitled to punch Stephen Miller in the mouth and steal his wallet as long as you are bigger than him. But that is exactly what Stephen Miller is saying. The rule of the playground is no basis for peace.

Miller: Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland… Under every understanding of law that has existed about territorial control for 500 years, to control a territory you have to be able to defend a territory…
