Giving a personal shoutout to Quiche Browser by @quiche.industries — if you're sick of Safari (and also, sick of AI search results), replace Safari on your phone with Quiche Browser. I've been using it as my daily driver for about a couple weeks now and it's been really really great.

Even if AI search results are your jam or you use Kagi, I’d still give @quiche.industries a shot. So much to like.

Somehow (I don’t know how), Quiche is way faster and more responsive than Safari on my 6-year-old iPhone 11, even with an ad-blocker installed on Safari. I’ve tried many alternative iOS browsers and this is the only one I’ve ever used that’s worth keeping! So many nice quality of life features.

The best browser on iPhone keeps getting better. Seriously, if you haven’t tried it yet Quiche is sooo good. I’m happily paying for the premium version but the free version is amazing as-is (and ad free)!

Starting today, Quiche Browser disables AI overviews in search results by default, out of the box. Compare how much space and time they waste. I love the web too much to let that nonsense bury links to real websites made by humans. Why no other browser does that is beyond me.

Another sneak peek at Quiche Browser's swipe gestures, this time at actual speed. As said previously, fluid and responsive are my main goals. You can do multiple quick swipes in succession without waiting for the previous animation to finish, and without any stuttering.

I think @quiche.industries is gonna be my Arc Search replacement.

How do you tell if an iOS browser has responsive gestures?   You should be able to open the list of tabs with a flick, while at the same time swipe-closing the tab you were just reading.   Today, only Safari can pull this off, and Quiche Browser should soon🤞 (Animations slowed down for clarity.)
