Booked a ticket for the @footballcliches.bsky.social live show on a whim, because why not.
Sitting next to a football agent on the train, on transfer deadline day 👀
Well, after feeling good about managing to set up various instruments in Ableton Live, I'm now left baffled and frustrated *yet again* by the Push 2 just not... working in the way it's apparently mean to. And doing this solo means I'm stuck. Trying to learn music is truly frustrating.
Good news, everyone! I've found a really nice Neapolitan pizza place near me that does takeaway and delivery at a reasonable price and distance! The year is saved!
The BBC have gone too far employing Sith weather presenters.
I really need an animated GIF of the "Machines will do the heavy work, men will supervise the machines" line from several @psbhq.bsky.social songs. Mostly because of the 'plus ça change'-ness of it.
Taking myself to the cinema tonight, because why not. End of Oak Street it is, then!
My graphic design has really caught fire, without anyone really knowing, ever since I started using the typeface Inspector Sans.
Coffee nerds, assemble! I have a Sage/Breville Barista Express Impress. Lately, it's been slow to start building pressure, which should happen about 6-7 seconds into the brew. I've changed beans and tried finer grinds. What's going on?
What are people using these days, instead of Meetup, for finding events?
Left the office, no problem with Thameslink. Got to St. Pancras, whole thing down. Luckily, I should be able to route around...
Listening to @footballcliches.bsky.social talk about law tweaks for the upcoming Premier League season, and now I can't stop thinking about lore tweaks instead. We've decided the pizza throwing incident was actually Papa John's, not Domino's.
(probably flawed) idea for a social networking thing - You Oughta Know, where you point two or more mutual followers who don't yet know each other, at one another, because you think they'll get on well or do good things together.
Right then, here's part one of my take on all this: r4isstatic.substack.com/p/tools-for-... (and I'm going to see if I can migrate over to Buttondown ASAP)
Tools for Better Data, Now
Well structured data (has always) been hard - but worth it

Ok, OK, @doriantaylor.com & @danhon.com have basically provided the fodder for my next newsletter topic then. Well, it was something I was planning to write anyway, on tools and structured data and plural point of view, but now I can refer to their conversations too.

Can’t believe we’re doing ‘which Americans did actual play first’ discourse again. How many times does Simon need to fall into a fucking hole before Treguard of Dunshelm finally gets his flowers, eh?
Funniest Knightmare death ever!

Gritty live action reboot of the Flintstones starring Joaquin Phoenix as Fred, Chloe Sevigny as Wilma and Paul Dano as Barney. Paul Thomas Anderson to direct. Score by Jonny Greenwood using only period instruments.
This is perfect. Excerpt from a longer piece by Shawn Smucker, published here: shawnsmucker.substack.com/p/please-use-ai #poem #booksky #writing
