Yeah Rod Liddle’s whole “I could never be a teacher because children are too sexually attractive to me” schtick is something that, like marmite, does tend to divide opinion

Once again: AI is the reverse printing press that makes asynchronous communication impossible
New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...

I didn't think it was possible to sum up a half-century and change of American foreign policy that succinctly, but here we are.
Heckler: Pedophile protector! Trump: He’s a communist!
The only moderating force in British politics is the public, I think. The electorate recoiling in disgust from Sir Keir’s horrible Labour Party is more or less the only example of an elite political/media project hitting a hard limit that can’t be overcome with all-channels shitehousing.
The thing to note here is less that British politics lavishly rewards the right type of crackpot. It’s that there is just no moderating force at all: there’s nobody and nothing telling this guy and his media mates “gentlemen, you are overdoing it here and making all of us look absolutely terrible”.
That guy is by no means unique. Many, many more like him.
You might think this is an *astonishingly* crooked career path, and that this type of person thriving within our political system suggests it is malignant and predatory. But I’m afraid this is just the type of thing that happens in Britain, and the kind of person the system is designed to benefit.
…He was then given an advisory role on counter-extremism by the Tories, and he’s spent the time since being used by newspapers to fearmonger about Muslims undermining democracy by voting, and agitating to crack down on protestors and proscribe various groups.
This ex-Labour MP quit, avoiding a sexual harassment investigation; set up an opaquely funded “anti-extremism” campaign that was all over TV and radio in a general election urging the public to vote Tory; was then given a peerage (a non-job for life in the legislature) by Tory leader Boris Johnson…
Remember when Farage claimed he was “debanked” by Coutts because they disagreed with his politics and everybody in the country just sort of nodded along
Nigel Farage’s Reform UK had its bank account temporarily frozen during the 2024 general election campaign, a revelation that adds to questions about the party’s finances. ft.trib.al/SqH7xbo

Getting on Mr. Bones Wild Ride of being the newly acceptable public face of transphobia always goes well for everyone who tries it out. Riley Gaines is a senator now.
Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham says her political views are “very much in the middle,” but her views on trans athletes and perceived conservatism have made her a popular figure on the right.
Starmer loyalists talking like Erika Kirk
Labour MPs unhappy with the treatment of Starmer loyalists have warned they could make life hard for Burnham at the Budget “Andy’s Starmerite purge has created an incredibly powerful phalanx of skilled political operators who intimately know the government’s fiscal position" Harriet Symonds writes
We've got Nathan back on to talk about the politicisation of the American financial system but crucially, CRUCIALLY, we go deep on the weird "summer camp for wealthy idiots" charity Jensen Huang's leather jacket sale funded.
Money Touchers ft. @nathantankus.bsky.social They’re touching the money! Nathan Tankus discusses Trump weaponising the financial plumbing that keeps the US, and therefore global, economy going. But first, Jensen Huang sold his leather jacket for charity… and the charity is, well, odd. Link below
This makes sense. Trans People are nomadic pastoralists - while they have historically been valuable trading partners for sedentary agrarian cities, the advent of stirrups and their proficiency with horse archery made them a fearsome foe to urban areas from The Yellow River to the Pannonian Plain.
Trump: "We had transgender for everybody. Men in women's sports came ravaging through our cities."
