Tired trans nurse who studies A.I. & power AAAS Invention Ambassador They/them, probably a 🐉 #NurseSky #STS #cat enthusiast Views always my own as a private citizen & not my employer’s (wild that I have to state this)

FWIW-I am proficient at prompt generation & understand how LLMs work, because I study AI. But I do not use these tools in my work, EVER. NOR in my daily life (save where enshittification adds them without my consent) And I could operate without them tomorrow-PERIOD. This is not a radical stance.

The point of higher ed is to help build & sustain vibrant societies NOT to win the (rigged from the start!!) Monopoly game we call our current economy This Administration making education policy is like what you would get if you put a bunch of Great White sharks in charge of stewarding seal safety

Having lived in DC for years & witnessed many MANY Smithsonian Folk Life Festivals, Solar Decathlons, protest rallies & other cultural events on the National Mall, the “Great American State Fair” looks bland & boring AF. What a mess.
