A reminder, as polls open in Wisconsin: Wisconsin has same-day voter registration. So, if you haven’t registered or need to re-register, you can do so at your polling place (with ID and proof of residence) TODAY. Every state should do this. It’s great that Wisconsin does this. Go vote.

This is unequivocally true. My own step daughter fled the state after graduating from Madison. Wisconsin has had a brain drain as long as I've been alive here. We can change that, hopefully.

If the argument from the Washington Post Ed Board is over the hypothetical that people might leave the state due to Hong's policies, perhaps it's worth recognizing that young people in Wisconsin have been leaving the state in droves over the last generation, here in reality.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
