They had a line of failed games their players hated, then made fortnite which they also failed at, before smashing a battle Royale mode on (which was the style at the time) and essentially winging themselves culturally relevancy by pure arse. Only thing they did was have enough bets to make.

What's absolutely wild, is how some abusers will rely entirely on silence. The silence of those around them to hold account, the silence of all those who see it happen and do nothing, the silence of the systems of auditing and regulation that fail. The silence of the victims crushed.

I have survived a lot this last year, and the one thing I've learnt is silence never helps. Best case, you get no closure. Worst case, the abuser fills the silence with lies. Always be loud. Let them find out.

Was just thinking about how there used to be a massive race around web browsers. For a time, people paid for browsers. Wild huh? Then they didn't. Because it didn't make any sense, the browser was so simple and obvious and really only as good as the data it gave access to. So about LLMs..

yeah but you have to have access to the right 'clubs' and be on the right 'lists'. Clubs run and curated by demons to enable their toxic and abusive cultures that they get to run however they want because they've rigged the system. super fun/productive/we are fuckin doomed lol

While I can see the benefit in game jams, they come from a culture of grind. In college the 24 and 48s were gruelling soul shredding events. Why is it normalised? That's not how creative flow should work, and whatever benefits are far outweighed by the culture it creates reliant on burn. #gameDev
