FIFA is a joke of a governing body and deserves all the smoke it gets. VAR to manufacture an advantage for Argentina after Switzerland equalizes over something they haven’t called all tournament. But can’t VAR a ball that hits a piece of the stadium and led to a goal.

america's reactionaries would love nothing more to nullify the reconstruction amendments and render them a dead letter of the constitution. this was as true in 1873 as it is today.
jamelle@jamellebouie.net · 3mo agoi think it is a testament to the inherent radicalism of the reconstruction amendments that the supreme court’s main project with regards to them has been to limit and weaken their impact on american society.
"Democratic governors and state legislators need to realize that this is no longer about fairness; it’s about fighting back so that they are not engineered out of the House forever. And I get that Dems don’t have the stomach for this kind of warfare--- find it."
It's almost as if the conservative justices want to help the Republicans retain power through racist gerrymandering.
