half of the tree in my backyard fell into my neighbours yard during a storm 🫣 thankfully nothing was damaged, just have a shit ton of wood to clean up. Mostly I’m mad because the storm was like 20 minutes long. Weak-ass tree couldn’t hold out just a bit longer??

guys I cannot express the sheer volume of mosquitos in Alberta right now. We’ve had ~2x the average amount of rain so its hatched millions. Genuinely apocalypic proportions, immediate swarms when you step out. Someone needs to start shipping us bats and dragonflies ASAP, my dog won’t go out to pee 😞

Steam Machine price in CAD is brutal but also about what I guessed based on how badly AI companies are jacking up hardware prices. I’m caught right in between where I have an aging PC that needs some amount of money to keep running, or I sell the parts and get an upgrade through the steam machine 🤔

in the middle of a heavy week of rain, went out to check the garage and instead found our gutter was blocked and pouring directly into a window well, which had completely filled with water 🫠 20 or so buckets of bailed water later and a run up the ladder to clear debris and we’re okay, but stressful!

A window well which is about halfway full of water. The wall has clearly been wet up to the window, and water can be seen pouring down in a row a few inches in front of the well.

Man I love sewing so much. There’s a little craft tote I saw online that’s sooo cute but they want $100 for it which is wild for a canvas bag. But the shape is really simple so its easy to reverse-engineer a pattern 😎 plus I can make it the exact size I need!! 10/10 hobby, cant recommend it enough
