He/him or they/them. I used to do game jams a lot and organized a couple of interesting ones (piratekart.com). Professionally, I helped make way too many sports games. Now I work at themeaningfullifecenter.com

I am enjoying He Who Watches but sometimes they way bits interact seems counter to what the game has been teaching me about them and thus arbitrary and unsatisfying. Are blocks supposed to pass through each other? Why on the 2nd bump but not the 1st?

I have kinda always been meaning to play with generative music (NOT LLM/GenAI. "algorithmic" maybe?) But somehow that's never what comes out when I sit down at the computer. This might count, though?

I saw somebody share a "product" they made where an LLM helps you prompt an LLM and I was SO SURE it was a joke and I even thought it was a good one, but since then whole conversations happened and project updates and! Somehow? It was completely serious!? What is happening to people?

Send us your experimental game — we wanna help you show it off! Get a chance to share your project onstage at GDC next spring, and help us inspire more people to make strange and experimental projects that change how we think about games. <3

For a brief moment I actually thought directing attention to under-appreciated games and their designers was the POINT of OotSS. If someone with less reprehensible politics wanted to work with folks to package niche stuff into something that could get wider notice, that'd be rad as hell

Earlier versions of the game did acknowledge the creators of the original games at the start of each section, and I consider it unacceptable that this was removed at Jon’s direction. Stephen Totilo noticed this change and wrote a nuanced article here: www.gamefile.news/p/a-complica...

Manwë told me Melkor keeps harrying the Firstborn of Ilúvatar so I asked how many Elves he has and he said he just goes to Middle-Earth and invites more Elves on the Great Journey so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding the Quendi to Morgoth and then Nienna started crying.
