BC Minister of Health MLA North Delta Chair, Cabinet Committee on Tariff Response Two-time 🇨🇦 Olympian Coach, Mentor and Proud Dad.

Proud to take on this new role and ready to get started continuing the work that’s been done to make sure British Columbians have access to good quality public healthcare. Looking forward to working with our partners in communities across the province.

I am deeply saddened by the news from the RCMP that a woman lost her life during the Bald Range wildfire evacuation. My heart goes out to her family, friends, neighbours, and all those who knew her and will miss her.

With U.S. tariffs & global uncertainty weighing on economies everywhere, we are focused on creating opportunities at home and expanding trade with new markets. And it's paying off: 17,800 new jobs added in July, and unemployment fell to 6.2%, while adding 32,500 FT jobs. 1/2

BC’s life sciences sector is Canada’s fastest-growing, now employing 20K+ people which we’re planning to double thru our #LookWest economic plan. I witnessed this momentum at Kardium’s Burnaby campus the other day: 700+ employees & growing, building lifesaving next-gen medical devices here in BC 🇨🇦

Great visit to GeneralFusion in Richmond. Their success reflects investor confidence in BC’s fusion tech, built in part on our early support to help keep their momentum going. A vote of confidence in BC’s economy and a testament to our talented workforce. #LookWest in action.

We're announcing a $2.2B expansion of FortisBC's Tilbury LNG facility in Delta that will create good jobs, cut emissions/clean up our air and strengthen BC's economic sovereignty. This means reducing reliance on diesel and higher-emission fuels used by the int'l shipping industry. 1/2

This is Look West in action: Broke ground today in Prince George on Enbridge’s Sunrise Expansion w/ Min Tim Hodgson, Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel & Chief Dolleen Logan of Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. This means adding 2,500 jobs, $3B+ to 🇨🇦 GDP, and $700M in revenue for roads, schools and hospitals.

Today, alongside colleagues and community leaders, we launched BC’s first public ash immersion site in Delta. For years, families in our community had to send loved ones’ ashes overseas just to carry out proper last rites. Now they can honour those traditions at home, openly & with dignity.

I was in Kitimat as LNG Canada and five First Nations signed a major equity option agreement: the opportunity to take majority ownership of the potential Phase 2 LNG storage tank, up to $1B. This shows what’s possible when Nations are true partners in projects that grow B.C.’s and Canada’s economy.🇨🇦

Despite global uncertainty, B.C. keeps building long-term economic strength, creating jobs and attracting billions in private investment to build major projects. In June, we gained 7,800 jobs, including 1,000s in the private sector and the largest youth employment gain in Canada. 1/2

BC just landed a massive deal with Ottawa: billions for the Fraser River Tunnel, a new transmission line powering the northwest, expanded port capacity at Roberts Bank in Delta, mining & forestry support, a protected North Coast tanker ban. This means more jobs and prosperity for BC & Canada 🇨🇦

It’s fantastic to see @moment_energy, a B.C. startup, become a globally competitive clean tech leader, creating over 100 skilled, local jobs in Surrey and building the infrastructure Canada needs for a secure, more independent and environmentally-friendly energy future. #LookWest

Closest I’ll ever get to Top Gun… (Strapped in, safe and secure!) Thanks to Colonel Chris Shapka and the hardworking folks at 19 Wing Comox for demonstrating their critical role in search and rescue, and surveillance and reconnaissance over the Pacific. 1/2

We have a lot of major projects in BC that are coming online. That’s why we're doubling our investment in skills training to $241 M to ensure more young people have the skills they need to seize these new opportunities. Great to see some progress as a results of these policies.

B.C.'s economy remains resilient in the face of global instability. In May: ↑ 25,200 jobs vs. last month - all full-time ↑ 14,800 private sector jobs ↑ 7,200 youth jobs (2nd largest gain in 🇨🇦) - Unemployment: 6.8% unchanged Since 2017, private sector emp. is up by 149K 1/2

Renters👇 this one’s for you.   Housing is way too expensive. It makes life hard when such a large part of your income goes towards your rent. This has to change.   Here’s the good news: asking rents in B.C. are finally going down — and it’s not by accident. A #homesforpeople 🧵
