In my experience when it comes to indies made by small teams a producer / manager is maybe the most overlooked and oft-ignored role until your perfectionist designer is two whole milestones behind schedule. If you don't have one in your team, become one.

Nobody has more impact on team culture than senior team members and lower-middle managers If you are in the trenches and someone folks look to, then your example defines team culture
there's a type of Guy who believes crunch is inevitable and it's always the same guy: * leader who started on small, crunch-heavy teams * no experience working anywhere that takes production seriously * doesn't know how to leave room in a schedule, convinced last minute panicking is the only way
