I wonder why Lewis Goodall didn't mention anywhere in this discussion that his new wife Tone Langengen was a Senior Policy Advisor on the Covid-19 Taskforce, where she "helped deliver the response to the Covid-19 pandemic"? It seems to me that this could be relevant to his position on this subject.

@lewisgoodall.com / @jonsopel1.bsky.social said "I am not sure that even in the first lockdown, school closures for any length of time were a price worth paying." But no discussion of the alternative. The alternative was never "schools open and everything else the same". 2/12

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface

This disingenuous commentary doesn’t help anyone. Frauds start unravelling pretty quickly. That you apparently cannot afford to put your oven or treat yourself is quickly undermined by the question “so why are you spending £50 per week on petrol?” Then, it turns out, she has an agent and /1

Elaine in this article "can't remember the last time she used her oven" but also spends £200 a month on petrol (so driving probably ~50 miles a day?) (she's also a professional old person; she was on Good Morning Britain last year, and then also at the Nov budget, and the year before lmao)

In May we said Nigel Farage probably didn't owe tax on his £5m gift. The Guardian now reports the gift followed talks where Farage said he'd need £5m to return to frontline politics. *If* that's right, we think there's a high risk of a £3m tax bill - payable by Reform.

I went to Porto Montenegro to find out why so many Reform money men have businesses registered to a grubby looking office building a stone's throw from the luxury yachts on the glittering marina. Feat. me visiting my first casino. www.opendemocracy.net/inside-refor...

Inside Reform and George Cottrell’s world in Montenegro

Why are some of Britain’s most controversial Reform-linked figures all operating out of a grubby office in a town of 11,000 people in the Balkans?

The second arrived just days after Kenyon lost the Makerfield by-election by more than 9,000 votes. It was lodged just hours after Farage was challenged on national television over a £5 million gift he is currently under investigation for by the Parliamentary Commissioner.

The UN says Israeli forces routinely accompany settlers and act as a shield for their violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Israeli officials rejected the report's findings, saying it relied on unsubstantiated allegations.
