Bitopic ligands that engage two distinct binding sites offer exciting opportunities for finely tuned control of G protein-coupled receptor signaling. This Primer explores a recent study in PLOS Biology that reports novel nanobody-small molecule conjugates and demonstrates their logic-gated activity at co-expressed receptor pairs with improved signaling profiles.

Read this in a paper and it was totally new to me (after 18 years in biochemistry research): “Peptides translated from the sense and antisense strands of DNA interact specifically, analogous to the complementary interactions between DNA double strands.” Is this widely studied/actually true?? 🤯

A thought provoking scenario: what would happen if "mirror" (reverse chirality) microbe were created and released? The time estimate (10 years) seems long to me as there's been incredible progress in making mirror enzymes. You don't need much of a few mirror enzymes for a self sustaining cascade..🧪
