The Congressional hearing of Fauci over his handling of the COVID pandemic have convinced me. Someone needs to be held accountable! We should find out who was president in 2020, that guy really screwed things up!

Thomas Paine is my favorite founding father. He was famously abolitionist and one of the earliest voices to point out the hypocrisy of fighting for independence while keeping slaves. He also firmly believed that keeping any friendship which required compromising your morals made you a bad person.

Marco Rubio is against birthright citizenship. But Marco Rubio *is* a birthright citizen. Ted Cruz is against birthright citizenship. But Ted Cruz was born in Canada. He only got US citizenship by a birthright citizenship law because of his US mother. They are both shameless hypocrites.

to repeat a point, the underlying political theory of the unitary executive is the president as tribune — an instantiation of the sovereign will of the people. it is a Bonapartist vision of the executive and it cashes out in the idea that the executive branch must follow the president's will.

Alito’s dissent in the vote counting case makes perfect sense if you think of it from the perspective of a braindead fox news viewer who thinks dems are “cheating” when more vote get counted and a republican lead in the count is erased.
