When trying to understand the Right Wing, it helps to realize they have spent their lives pretending to be someone they aren't and sublimating parts of themselves they hate and that they have to project that pain and hatred onto others because the tension is so unbearable it will destroy them.

Fundamentally, because the nat'l Dem ruling class is around Republicans all the time and mostly came of age in the Republican ascendancy, they view Republicans (even the fash) as legitimate holders of power, and they don't view even the left of their own party as legitimate.

Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.

It's weird when people bristle at the idea of abolishing billionaires. Are you a billionaire? Is your mum one? Why do you care? It would be good to abolish billionaires. More money for public services, less money for them to buy rape islands.

The whole point of the Bill of Rights is to protect the only true minority - the individual. It limits the governments power to harm the individual. The whole constitution is designed to limit the governments power.

Why do you conflate Israel and Jewish people? Seems pretty antisemitic to me.
