millennials saw virtually unattainable releases creep into the $300s & said "welp, guess it's time for jazz & New Balance" while Zs + Alphas grew up in a world where those shoes were never even an option for them, both b/c of price *and* severely diminished access. it's a cold capitalist world.

the death of the sneaker game is such a fascinating case study. resellers really killed their own market by outpricing their most dependable target demos, thus creating 1.5 generations that do not give a single solitary fuck about big name / expensive shoes anymore.

Ford has rehired hundreds of senior engineers after replacing them with AI backfired and has cost the company billions of dollars. AI adoption is blamed for Ford being the most recalled automaker in the U.S. with 51 recalls covering over 11 million vehicles in the first half of 2026 alone.

Ten years ago I was in line at my doctor’s office and the older, white woman in front of me was *seething* that the woman in front of us was speaking Spanish to the receptionist. Some people really will accept worse healthcare if it is seemingly *better* than what non-white people get.

The reason why you don't have nice things in your life especially in this country is because the government doesn't want Black people to have it. So no universal health care, no universal basic income, no universal housing, no universal education, because that means Black people will get it too.
