Me, testing an AI coding tool to see how it does converting an image to black and white in Pygame This is not necessarily simple, but there are two built in transform functions that let you do it. This is a thread of what the AI attempted to do It gave solutions that would work, but really poorly

Autumn is coming for us northern hemisphere types, and the perennial question rears its head once more: Which soup do you make first?

Absolutely classic grifter behaviour. "Wait, I'm not allowed to con people into thinking I made this? Fuck you!" Anyone who seriously still thinks this isn't all a massive grift needs to have a word with themselves.

As I said during the last Steam Next Fest, yes, there were a ton of low-effort games obviously made with AI. And yes, they were all over the demo showcase page. For about one day. Once things fell into place and games were ranked based on what people played, you had to dig HUNDREDS deep to find AI.
It's always good to have this perspective, because not long ago EA declared they were a Blockchain company and heralded play to earn as the future of the industry, and that future quickly evaporated.
As someone with ADHD who genuinely struggles day to day because of it; fuck all the way off. Don't use my neurodivergency and disability to promote your life destroying garbage. It is absolutely vile and disgusting behaviour. I hope the walls come crashing down on this bullshit as soon as possible.
The story around AI used to be about generating more. For many neurodivergent professionals, the bigger benefit is offloading invisible labor: remembering what you promised, the dozen tabs open in your brain, the thread you meant to reply to. ⬇️
don't you dare try and prop this bilious endeavor up with neurodivergence.

Shaking my head at the gooner anime girl ads popping up on my phone when I'm in public so people know I'm not a deviant.
Begging the people of Clacton to do the funniest thing ever.
There's a genuine mental health condition that I think sets in when you become a CEO, and I believe that we need to study it more and perhaps develop preventative measures.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has argued that AI could’ve made Destiny more profitable. vgc.news/news/epic-ga...
I stole your description a little, but why wouldn't I?
Hey, Adios is 45% off! store.steampowered.com/app/1271400/... $10. 2 hrs. One of the best voice-acted games in history. Two men who love each other very much are trying to persuade the other to stand down, because if one of them doesn't, the Farmer will have to be killed.
Had to buy myself a new audio interface because my 10 year old Scarlett 2i2 finally shat the bed. DEEPLY amused to open the new one (SSL 2 Mk 2) and find that it goes to 11.
Some day I need to find out who makes David Tennant's blazers, because they're always immaculate and I really, desperately need a few of them.
Is the real rise in creativity in the room with us now, Laura? Or is it just people desperate not to be on the chopping block trying to appease you and your fellow knife-booted execs?
Senior EA exec Laura Miele thinks AI has led to "a real rise of creativity" among the publisher's studios www.eurogamer.net/senior-ea-ex...
Douze Dixièmes, the developers who made my favourite game so far this year, Mio: Memories in Orbit are shutting down and I'm fucking devastated. If you like a good metroidvania and have an appreciation for absolutely stunning hand drawn art, go buy it, because it's genuinely a masterpiece.
It really sucks when you're trying to say gg, but your finger slips over by one key and suddenly you're a nazi.
I have been extremely busy with audiobooks for the last few months, and not really working on my game at all (boooo) but here's a little progress update anyway. There's a lot to be done, but it will be finished, one day! #IndieDev #IndieGames #SoloDev

God, it makes me so sad that so many people are still just running headfirst into using AI with no care for the consequences to other people. How difficult is it to just care about other humans?
This is honestly PR malpractice, one of those cases of the PR person interjecting that instantly makes it seem like you're hiding something. But at the same time, Adams comes off terrible here because he gets asked an extremely straightforward question and immediately freezes.
We asked the Crystal Dynamics team about its use of generative AI in developing Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Here’s what Jeff Adams, experience director on the game, had to say.
Openly admitting that you used AI to cut costs in the current climate is honestly a hell of a choice. Stricken from the wishlist immediately. I was looking forward to this one too. www.ign.com/articles/the...
The Blood of Dawnwalker Devs Use AI, but There’s No AI Assets in the Final Game, and It’s Used To ‘Avoid’ Pressure on Staff
Rebel Wolves' CEO has explained the developer's stance on AI, saying it has been used in early stages of development of The Blood of Dawnwalker to "avoid" putting pressure on staff.

Man, OOT really does just keep coming back and surviving on nostalgia alone. Unless they've put in some serious work to update the mechanics, it just doesn't even remotely hold a candle to modern games.
