This goes so, SO far beyond high gas prices. They destroyed families. There are people missing from our kitchen tables who can never return. Because they are dead.

They bombed little girls. They killed grandmothers during raids. They eviscerated fishermen so badly that there were no bodies to bury. They refused medical attention in ICE facilities. They robbed us of lifesaving medications. They blinded reporters during protests.

Any time anyone says that we should move forward and let go of the past, I will repeat that THEY KILLED PEOPLE.

Good time to remind people that: 1. The federal government's deportation agenda isn't possible without local collaboration. 2. Working with ICE is completely voluntary! This is a bare-minimum step in the right direction. Local law enforcement must completely END (not just limit) cooperation.

Just to remind you all how we got here: a lot of it was things like these students marching 40 minutes together to vote because they didn't get a polling place on campus. We need to remember them and make sure that they never have to do it again.
