You should absolutely, 💯 take the opportunity to go meet Fraser and find out about all the cool games he’s designed! The very first time I met Fraser was at the Ottawa get-together for his successful crowd funding of Centurion. It’s still one of the best decisions I made to go out and meet people!

Ottawa-based designers? Wait, I know some of them! I am one! And I'll be there for a "Meet the Game Designer" on Saturday 15 Aug, 14:00-16:00. See you there? composedreamgames.com/marketplace/...

And if you want to learn how to use your mending kit, I wrote a book about that: payhip.com/b/OlE7W

I've had a bit of a day, so let's do a little #WorldBuildingThread as a treat. Tonight's topic: every-day carry mending kit. Unsurprisingly, I have several of these, because different "every day" situations may require different things, but these 2 are my actual honest-to-goodness everyday carries.

New Asians Represent episode just dropped! Tadhana Joy joined the podcast to talk about Barkadan: City of Noise and Plenty, a survival horror/high fantasy TTRPG inspired by the culture of the Philippines and the Filipino-American experience. pod.link/1429004408/e...

The system for Centurion: Legionaries of Rome could certainly be used for other genres and conceits, but it was developed because the strategic use of dice—building a proper hand of dice, which will be different for every enemy—really fit the concept of the Roman legions specifically in my mind.

Hello friends, I was officially laid off today. If anyone is looking for a [Principal/Staff] Web Software Engineer of 15+ years, I'm yer nerd. I also have the niche knowledge area of ad tech, if that's something you're looking for. I also do UI/UX design, proficient in graphic design.

Hey friends - so I've made the move and there's just a few final essential bits of furniture I could use some help with. If you can help I'd be much appreciated. I'll probably close this fundraiser at the end of the week so anything at all would be a massive help! Best, Ripley

You’ve got to get Momentum when you’re in a Test with an opponent in Kiss My Axe—my Viking TTRPG. If you’ve got Momentum, you are controlling the conflict, meaning you can avoid harm even if you fail. But fail too bad, and Momentum will pass—here comes the pain!

We hit the More Art stretch goal! Next up: More Money For Artists! I’m under contract with all three artists & they will be paid; if I hit the $24k stretch goal, I’ll give them each a bonus! In an age of shady corporations using AI, I’m excited to give more money to actual artists, & you can help!

Ok, here's a little #PsiRun2e character creation game: if you had just woken up in the back of a supervillain's van with gaps in your memory, & assuming you had no phone or wallet, what do you have on your person that would lead to a question you could run with? www.kickstarter.com/projects/117...

Ok, she’s right! 3 days to to go, top stretch goal is $28K. It’s currently at $19,239. $20k=more art, $24k=more $$ for artists, $28k=a whole new way to play, as a pdf for all backers. Can we get there? Let’s find out!

Meg is understating that the project REALLY deserves to hit its final stretch goal — rules for playing ON BlueSky or other microblogging/social platforms. I for one am VERY CURIOUS about what experimental work she’d dream up…

Characters in Kiss My Axe—a Viking TTRPG—are built on the kinds of terms or phrases you would use in conversation to describe them, but they also have possessions. If you’ve got a family heirloom sword, include it as a Possession and then it can help you win the fight.

"We don't use dice, because the only real dice are six-sided, and you use them to play wargames or Risk. All other dice are used by the Youth to play vampires with sparkly skin. Youth today would never have made it through the war. Not like your Seniors." -- Green Oaks, @raincity.games
