My new job is securing funding for First Nations housing, and holy shit, Mark Carney has done so much damage to these programs, which were already utterly inadequate. Carney is pure evil and a colonialist to his core.

Current management is very hand's off and project-oriented--are you meeting expectations? Then we don't care where or how you work. A change is on the horizon and I'm worried that this freedom is at risk. I hope I'm stressing for nothing. Too many managers care more for optics than outcomes.

Judged is the second in the Nefertiti Overdrive 2.0 adventure series "The Fall of the House of Kashta." The greatest heroes of 25th dynasty Egypt hunt down a nihilist cult of assassins just as the military superpower of the age— the Assyrians— invades. fraserronald.itch.io/judged-a-nef...

Porting The Kheufer Scrolls to a different setting and to D&D (group request) has let me have fun playing with the villains. Now one crime boss is a gnoll, the other's a half-elf with evil halfling minions, and the latest is tiefling. It felt apt. He hangs out at a coffee house.

If you're still on Substack, you're helping platform fascists and their enthusiastic minions, such as Bari Weiss, whom they actively partnered with just before her move to CBS. Go check out @buttondown.com and @ghost.org instead. You can even migrate yours subscribers and subscriptions!

What if instead of starting substacks in twenty-fucking-twenty-six people learned to give one iota of a fuck about whether they want to associate themselves with nazis.

The challenges PCs will face in The Wall are the factions of the city they occupy. That includes the other Occupiers, the Elite, and the Dispossessed. In different cities, these will be rated differently, but usually it’s the Dispossessed who are the biggest problem.

Bay Area friends: would you consider opening your home to these two cuddly cats? A friend found them behind a gas station. Their sibling, a black cat, got adopted, but it appears no one likes orange cats. They are being kept in a bathroom for the time being and need a home.

A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?

Three kittens in a cage. Two are orange and one is black.

I tell you what, though, I've GMed every game I've ever run without AI, and my experience is that the more you do it, the better you get at it, so maybe don't foist off the creative endeavor onto the slurm faucet.

In the Centurion TTRPG, you don’t need to beat the enemy’s defences right away. You can apply Conditions—narrative descriptors that impose penalties. Put enough Conditions on the toughest enemy and they aren’t so tough any longer.
