Update: LOKI CAME HOME!!! He’s got burrs all over his belly, but he’s otherwise fine, and just had a long drink of water and a big meal. We’re so relieved, and I can’t possibly say thank you to everyone for your advice, encouragement, and good wishes; it really helped keep our spirits up. ❤️❤️❤️
linear TV was genuinely addictive because of the inability to watch what you want. Inconsistent but paced-out rewards the same as a skinner box. You got a big jackpot dopamine bonanza when your favorite Simpsons episode was randomly on syndication that day or came across an MST3k marathon

Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.
Dr. Lucky Tran@luckytran.com · 6d agoPeople still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.
If you have a Plex server, get QuasiTV. It creates custom TV channels from your Plex library so you can channel surf except it’s mostly movies/TV you actually want to watch.
