A DHL customs person just advised me, "Use Chat GPT to fill out these customs and Lacey* forms, lots of our customers do it and it works fine" * Lacey forms are for anything made of or containing wood or a plant and they ask for excruciatingly specific details.
Flower gardening - growing everything from natives and tiny meadows to cut flower gardens - has expanded so joyfully. Plant materials, education and inspiration have never been so abundant.

Nome@nome.bsky.social · 5mo agoI work at the airport. I'm one of a dozen people i see mask regularly, out of hundreds. Those hundreds? They're complaining constantly about being sick. About making their family and friends sick. And they just accept that as a thing that'll happen. Like there's nothing to be done.
1. We have three tissue blocks from the surgery. One has been analyzed. One is at a genomics lab in Hyderabad running a full genomic profile. We're holding the third. If you know a lab that can run something those two won't, tell us.

Speaking as the co-founder of a women’s biographical library, books are often the only tangible, accessible evidence of the existence of many notable women of the past. Even the near past! I’ve searched fruitlessly for some books for years. This destruction is devastating. Print is all we have.

Little Sister Cafe on Hope St is closing and honestly the sooner those plastic fake trees are gone from the sidewalk outside, the better I hope the owner does well in Cambridge and we get to enjoy something new - hopefully with faster service
Field trip! Today I get to meet a woman who is a top consultant at slowing traffic so pedestrians and bikes don’t get hit. We will all stand next to Harris Ave in the rain, and probably get splashed by cars going double the speed limit as they often do there. I’m so excited!

And she’s extremely anti-ICE. She’s also oblivious to most stuff anyone engaged in politics locally or nationally knows about. “I’m not interested in politics”
