I share drawings here. Illustrator, Cartoonist, Marketing Artist/Video Director, Game Artist, Husband, Father, US Expat in Germany. Occasionally obsessed with Pumpkinheads and Creeple. I dig Star Trek & Godzilla. https://rickschmitz.artstation.com/

The Muckslinger Gang This piece is 7 years old, originally commissioned when I first started working for MTG, on Arena China exclusives as a Gruesome Menagerie alternate. Seems it's found it's way back around to paper, and as a legendary set of misfits. Quite the leg up, Jund weirdos

Gonna start a little thread for my historical fiction project #PARADOXICA Set in late victorian England, Time travel to the mesozoic has become quite the industry, for both scientific research and (for better or for worse,) tourism. Here we have Lana Carter taking her friends dromeosaur for a walk 😇

Don't let the Ai discourse discourage you aspiring writers out there. Art is valued by its rarity, and the rarest thing in the world is the talent of a single individual. What can be mass produced for cheap has little value. You are an original. A one of a kind. A bespoke wonder. Never forget that.

I rediscovered this weird notion in my Romulan ship blend file: The Rommie Connie! It's admittedly a very silly idea, but the more I thought about it the more sense it made. Or at least, the better my justifications sounded to me… 😅

A Romulan version of a Constitution-class starship, using the Bird of Prey shape as the saucer. Proportions are close but almost every detail is different. Heavy WIP model, BTW!Top-down comparisons of the TOS Enterprise, my Rommy Connie and the TOS Romulan Bird of Prey. Plus part of the ring of my current Warbird WIP… Rear angleSide profile. The neck is perhaps the greatest departure, being quite a bit thinner.

Some minor updates to the Schmitz-class Warbird. Mainly windows, hull markings and details on the bum. Enterprise for scale. Bird is 225m in length. I wanted it to feel comparable to the D'deridex-class vs. the Enterprise-D.

Side angle view of the Warbird showing new windows and detail of the connecting strut that wasn't really visible in the earlier shots. My own addition to Rick's design, but it felt necessary to me. The D'deridex has something similar.
