I've been saying it since the beginning, and I won't stop saying it - the MCU is the worst thing that's ever happened to Marvel comics.

I was really hoping Marvel would give me a reason to start reading my all-time favorite line of comics again, but this sure as hell ain't it. The Krakoa era was the best & most interesting X-stuff in decades, and now they're just continuing to do the opposite of that as hard as they can.

i've enjoyed plenty of comics by yost and daniels, but i was really hoping SDCC would give me a reason to get back into x-men, and "X-MEN LIKE NEVER BEFORE-- THEY'RE DOING AVENGERS STUFF (it's a cover of the Duggan run)" is not that reason

Gender and sex are complex, infinitely varied spectrums that defy definition. Support for trans people, on the other hand, is a black and white, concrete issue. You are either whole-heartedly in support of people's right to live their lives, or you can get fucked. That one's a binary. Happy pride.

That's the impression I've gotten of them from the little I've seen, or maybe Ready Player One with more "comedy". Definitely continues to be a hard pass for me.

Absolutely breathtaking work on Ultimates #23 by @denizcamp.bsky.social, @stipanmorian.bsky.social, Travis Lanham, and the rest of the team. Not just a great story as the UU nears its end, it's also a fantastic homage to the two towering titans of Thor comics in Walt Simonson and Jack Kirby.

RIP to Gerry Conway. (So now we've got like a week or two before Roy Thomas starts claiming he's the one that actually created the Punisher, right?)

Few comic book writers have had as truly insane a resume as Gerry Conway. Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, Legion, JLA, and on and on and on, not to mention co-creating Punisher, Jason Todd, Power Girl, Firestorm, and so many others. One of the greats. RIP Gerry Conway. nerdist.com/article/comi...
