Big part of the problem is a *lot* of people conceiving their participation in public life as some form of noblesse oblige rather than an obligation shared among equals.
Nobody I knew had any trouble with the vaccine, either - but I had a friend who died of Covid before the vaccine was developed. She died intubated and alone in the hospital. I’m sure her widower wishes she could have been vaccinated.
This man beat the odds to survive polio and still lives with the ravages of it, supported idiots who are destroying the US vaccination program and bringing back childhood diseases. Make it make sense.

Not cooking produce is a chance to avoid adding sugar, salt, fat -- ingredients that exacerbate chronic illnesses. Also, in warmer months, I avoid heating up the kitchen. So, salads and fruits were an easy solution for me. Now, fresh produce isn't affordable or safe to eat. FML.

Its title references the ICE terror campaigns, but the @wired.com article also reports on p*rn around a much older kink of white nationalists: misogyny, r*pe, and racism (incl. towards Black women in the workplace). Gross and traumatizing, but not surprising when you consider this nation's history.

I'm going to hold your hand when I say this: Climate deniers DGAF about smoke covering the USA, Europe, or even their granny's house. There's a reason so many subscribe to MAGA POV on other issues: Why consider facts or take accountability when lying and obfuscation will do just fine?
