“Canciones” is one of her best. But even after all the money Linda made for her label, they hated the idea of a Spanish-language album. “You owe me this,” she said. “Canciones” was for years “the biggest-selling non-English language album in US history, going double platinum and earning a Grammy” ✨

How Linda Ronstadt fought — and won — a battle to release the Mexican 'songs of her father'

How am I celebrating the 4th you ask? Writing a King’s Bench petition to challenge the unconstitutional confinement of over a thousand people. Seems pretty patriotic to me. 🇺🇸

We found ethical violations. More than 1/3 violated the duty of confidentiality and/or the attorney-client privilege. 1/4 disclosed info Finley-filers learned from their clients. Almost 2/3 disparaged or showed mistrust of clients, and nearly all displayed deficient factual and legal engagement.

This is a long shot because this isn't the old twitter, but I'm looking for history articles/books that look at cases of British/Irish settlers/squatters being prosecuted for crimes against Indigenous/colonized people. It can be anywhere in the world, but ideally the late C18/early C19.
