Mark it down to "surprising to some, but not me": Craig Greenberg totally swept West Louisville, and Shameka Parrish-Wright's strength were around Germantown and Clifton. IYKYK
I could not be more impressed by Zach Dembo. I was a strong supporter of Cherlynn Stevenson (she would have been a great congressperson), and I dismissed Dembo out of hand when I heard about his campaign. He really impressed throughout. I think he has a very legitimate chance to make it to DC.
My favorite inside baseball fact about the KY Elections is that the legislature moved to make the Metro Council/Metro Mayor non-partisan, but didn't mess with any other elections in Jefferson Co, leaving Shively, the tiny city in SW Louisville, as the only place with partisan city elections in KY

Friendly reminder that Tidal is cheaper than Spotify, pays artists more, and, well... isn't run by the dude who runs Spotify. Personally I also much prefer Tidal's algos but that's a YMMV thing. Anyway, it used to be way more expensive but it isn't anymore, and I think it's a better product.
I am excited about Will Stein and agree with other Kentucky fans than a change was for the best, but Mark Stoops was the best coach we ever had, and it's not close. That part of this really sucks.

I have no inside info on this at all but based on reports of who mayors have entertained in the past few years, Louisville worked hard to get one of these franchises. Alas, they seem to only go to places with existing NBA teams

I don't always agree with DSA people but they are the hardest working part of the Democratic coalition. Also it helps if your main opponent had to resign in disgrace after a sexual abuse scandal.
Rahm Emanuel neatly demonstrates the basic error that Democrats make when they try to step back from social issues: IT’S THE REPUBLICANS, NOT THEM, who are “talking about bathrooms and locker rooms.” You can’t fix this by changing the topic, only by defending your ideas and going on offense.
