An actor. Jason in Gavin and Stacey. Bob Cratchit in Dickensian. Pops up in things like Sex Education, Bridgerton, Skins, Wolf Hall etc

Just saw a thing where a director talked about taking out sex/nudity because audiences don’t want to see it. Here’s an idea: fuck the audience. I’m the chef & they’ll eat what I serve them and like it. *The audience* knows what they want? Why don’t you let a toddler drive a car next?

A lot of people today talking about an awful person who died but i want to make everyone aware of a good person who died: Northern Irish comedian Jimmy Cricket, who you should all look up if you don’t know. 10/10 all around wife guy, dad, granddad, and just a generally solid person

Do you know what would help us avoid “harms” to children from future lockdowns? Not having an education system that treated itself as a race. ”Getting shoved out the end with as many GCSEs as possible” is not actually an ethos.

It’s also why the first three or four months after 7 October was relentless campaigns of screaming hate at anyone likely to speak out against destroying Gaza. It had to be made clear to everyone, including prominent well-to-do types, that *everyone* who spoke up would get fucked. No exceptions.

This is why it’s helpful to have credentialed establishment figures making the same points: because the likes of Andrew would chuckle his way through ten thousand lower-order scum getting arrested but shits his loafers when the same thing happens to a good sort of chap who went to the right school.

We're losing the plot when it comes to free speech. There are few issues on which Jonathan and I agree, especially on Palestine Action. That's irrelevant. But for him to be arrested for no more than expressing an opinion? That way lies madness and dictatorship. Free Jonathan Porritt!!!

They respond “it’s all an Establishment stitch up”. Others say this bunch of grasping millionaires ARE the Establishment. In reality they are worse. Their greed is unmoderated by the desire for respectability & their views are too abhorrent even for the Establishment. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
