When someone uses AI for anything, it says to me: "I don't care what you did with your life and how hard you worked at it, I just want access to what you know and what you can do, without giving you the respect or compensation that you deserve for learning."

One of the most frustrating things about Generative AI images is that it's starting to make people believe that it's not possible to manually produce interesting, technically complex visuals with actual techniques and practice instead of ceding the task to a theft engine

It's possible that people observing a program from the vantage point of the tangible world outside the digital medium could miss the fact that a program had become sapient, but I think it's less excusable once they also were forced to exist as digital entities too and met that program face to face.

The new wave of Irony in creativity is not so much a defense mechanism against personal vulnerability like it used to be, but now specifically about masking meaning and intention to prevent it from being scraped and stolen by GenAI data harvesting
Spent my whole life learning what I don't know to avoid harming people through ignorance, only for the wheel of the world to be hijacked by people too insulated by power and wealth to face consequences
I think its meaningful, fulfilling and important for humans to live simple, peaceful lives, even if its just painting dragons.

For many, it's something they can contribute to the TTRPG / video game / animation / tv industries - NOT something to express their humanity and POV. They don't want to talk about the human condition, they want to get paid to paint dragons.
