Page 1 of the second act of the comic. It is a single panel, the background of which is splattered with ink like a bottle was upturned over the blank canvas. The very bottom is white, while most of the page is full of smeared splotches. Their motion is sudden and violent enough that it could be interpreted as blood. Inside the wound-like black smears, there are white narration letters, stating: For the next 3 days, viktor wakes to a dawning sunrise somewhere he's never been. On the off center, a single closeup panel of Viktor laying on he floor, waking up with a gasp. He seems really perturbed about his nightmare. One Million Happy Endings, Phase 2 begins. end page.

Page 2, Pure narration: In the first day, they are locked in a haunted castle. In the second, he faces an eden of technology… lightyears ahead of what he was taught in the academy. And in the third, they are trapped in a sinking ship, lost in unsteady waters. Viktor soon comes to a damning judgement: This is not right. This page is made up of 4 panels, the first 3 depicting the places the duo has visited. The first drawing has viktor and jayce waking up in the center of a medieval great hall, jayce rubbing his eyes with one hand while a disoriented viktor pushes himself off the floor and up with his bare arms. His long hair falls on his face a bit. The castle is dimly lit by bright green flame balls that float uncannily in the air. The rocky walls and furniture look half-destroyed, left at the mercy of the elements. Identifying nation flags are all ripped up. The greatdoor behind jayvik leads into a hallway, while the side of the room they're in continues off to the left with a suspended bridge. In the background, a multi-story library can be seen, shelves and shelves of books gathering dust. Panel 2 is a busy, incredibly vertical sci-fi city, futuristic to the point there are flying ships soaring overhead. Jayce and Viktor stand at the bottom of a moving cyberpunk crowd, staring with some awe and horror at the size of the buildings surrounding them, their blinking lights, and the dangerously close planets seen in the sky. jayce seems charmed by it all while viktor is a mix of concerned and horrified. Panel 3 takes the viewpoint of the upset sea, drowning at the very bottom of a large pirate ship moving forward in a storm. the waves lap hungrily at the vessel, and it tips precariously to one side, as if it's about to be pushed over. Seafoam sprays in the air. The sails protrude forward. The fourth panel is of Viktor inside the ship, looking out at the complete lack of firm landing with a deeply concerned face. This is not right, he says. end page.

Page 3, Panel 1. Narration: Day 1. Jayce has his theories, as any good scientist would. It's the rune, Jayce says. It must be sending us around runeterra. I didn't think it would still be active… In this panel, Jayce is looking around the darkened medieval fortress with curiosity. Bright green-teal lamps hang from hooks in the walls, the same ghastly color blowing in from large windows in the background. Far in the distance, a headless statue of a revered hermit is mounted in a pedestal. Some of the rooms’ pillars have surrendered to decay and broken in many pieces. Panel 2 depicts a map of their travels viktor has hastily scrawled on the sand using a wooden stick. the first piece of land is labelled Ionia with a questionmark, then ixtal questionmark, he cant decide which one it was. an arrow leads to the next landmark, the castle, labeled Shadow Isles. The next arrow points to a ringed planet with many interrogations. They dont know the name of the place, so it's simply called HERE in all caps. Narration says: But merely having a hypothesis isn't enough to make it true. Panel 3. Day 2. Viktor, kneeling above the sand where he made his shitty map, is going on a long rant while jayce observes faithfully what he is doing. Jayce is standing up with the help of a tall walking stick. Viktor says: so we teleport out of piltover, crash in another hemisphere, pass an isle of legend, and end up in outer space? Jayce rubs his chin and replies: it doesn't make sense. Viktor agrees: no, it doesn't. In the background, more tall, swirly, impossibly futuristic buildings, bedazzled with neon advertisements of all colors. Too much visual noise. Panel 4, a long horizontal shot of a suspended park in this city of tomorrow. It is on level with one of the top stories of a skyscraper, tall glass walls surrounding the borders for protection.
