Why is street parking at a meter still such a harrowing experience? Why do we have to be so worried about going over the maximum time limit you can set? Can we not develop a meter that senses how long you are parked and just charges you for that exact amount of time, no matter how long?

every time it comes up in my mentions I have to reskeet this shot of my Lost Shores Oracle kit. nothing I can do about it, it's the law! (did i mention how it's on sale?)

LOADS of options to mix and match the newly remastered Mud Brick range acquired from @fogoumodels.bsky.social - stackable, swappable, and with additional frontages and addons. adding these to the shop this week, and hopefully having a few in hand for Salute in (gulp) three weeks' time...

The whole videogame industry (and indeed a large portion of our economy in general) feels like an early ‘90s house flipping scheme. Investors putting in the bare minimum, shorting quality wherever they can, relying on miracles from the people doing the hard work, and demanding immediate profits

still like the Cursed Earth out there. talking of, thanks to coperation with Ainsty Models and everyone else involved, I've got VERY limited quantities of the Judge Minty LE models from 2012 in the shop. Proceeds from sales of these are going to the Canine Cancer Research charity.

And to round up the trilogy for today, Judge Minty - which we were tangentially involved with by way of helping with funding and the production of some limited edition judge and mutie minis and scenics.

It's kind of fascinating seeing the "are LLMs conscious?" thing periodically pop up, because for most of human history (and honestly even now), we treated *everything* as being conscious. Animals, mountains, weather, vague philosophical concepts...

remoulded, and back in the shop, our Glaswegian phonebox there was one of these outside my workshop in Chatham Historic Dockyard so you can bet i took accurate measurements and made this a *proper* scale model. it might look smaller than some versions but it's very much bigger on the inside

Singaporean artist Leia Ham reimagined LotR as Tale of the Middle Kingdom, since Chinese name for China (Zhōngguó) means "The Middle Kingdom." Her concept art includes the Fellowship, armors, buildings like Bag End, props like Aragorn's banner and Fellowship brooches, and more. #TolkienTrewsday

I’d have to go with the Fab Four of the eldritch horror gang. Cthulhu on bongos, shub on bass, hastur on vocals and Nylarthotep on bending reality and all we perceive into unimaginable horror.

I’ve managed to not only teach my young son that not everything in the world is made for his tastes, the world would be super boring if it was all tailored to him, even FOR him. We all need to be occasionally challenged by things we don’t like or we don’t grow

I am once again begging folks to understand the difference between ‘I don’t like this’ and ‘Nobody likes this’. You are not the main character of the world. Readers and authors have different tastes. You are not the arbiter of what authors should and should not put into books.

One of my Toxic Traits is that I sometimes think I could hold my own on a show like Game Changers or Who’s Line is it Anyway. I’m a pretty spontaneously funny guy but the level of improv skill on display there is almost impossible to achieve

After a long hiatus, our group reconvened to play more Pulp Cthulhu today. The lesson learned: Flying Polyps are kind of pushovers, assuming you successfully sneak up on them and open up with a 3” trench mortar, fully auto Lewis LMG, a .450 elephant rifle, and a dozen .303 Lee-Enfields

I wonder if people who have aphantasia (the inability to visualize mental images) are more likely to be generative AI users. A common reason for using it seems to be as a method of visualizing something they have in their head, and most users seem to be happy with flawed “close enough” AI renders
