The Parsa laboratory investigates the functional and clonal dynamics of T cells during various immune responses. Using innovative genetic approaches, we will precisely track and analyze the behavior of polyclonal perturbation-specific T cells over time and space. We seek to uncover the rules governing the development of effector and memory T cells, ultimately enhancing our understanding of adaptive immunity and advancing therapies for various diseases, including cancer and autoimmunity.

I’m very fascinated about this study showing stem cell-like effector CD4 T cells that can become the classic T helper subsets. In tumors, Tregs suppress these cells, blocking Th1 seeding and anti-tumor effects! Jenkins lab also recently described a similar CD4 phenotype with different implications.
