I was really hoping for Last Holiday, but I can’t be disappointed in that final and also this wonderful result! Fire Island is a lovely film and a very worthy finalist and now winner. What a year for the romcom battle royale this was!

This one is likely to come down to the wire. Currently, Last Holiday is leading by one. While I wouldn't be mad if Last Holiday won, I feel like the queer joy of Fire Island winning would be such a huge "fuck you" to the worst elements of our society that I'm really hoping it emerges victorious.
