We don't have the death penalty. Did this dipstick hear "extradition" and get all confused? Bless.
Why do all these types of people look like a badly Sharpied egg taking an epic shit

Does anyone know what this is? Vibrant turquoise underbelly.
If you’re working with your Meta pervert glasses on, don’t forget that looking at passwords shares them with Meta. I know the immediate solution is to use a password manager, and I’ll never not recommend that, but how about not wearing your pervert glasses?
Because what London really needs is lots more cars and especially empty ones cruising the streets. I don't remember Londoners being consulted on being used as guinea pigs. #motonormitivity
This is a big moment for one of the UK’s most promising start-ups

It is of course cultural in that people have become used to speeding out of habit and it's seen as minor and not in any way antisocial - so we can understand the why people react in this way. But we also need to push back culturally too. (as well as redesigning streets to be self-explaining)
Extremely niche--anyone know if in ancient regime France the day of a nun's profession might be termed her 'journee?' (Script is clear, abbreviations not an issue, inscription grammar is often...condensed.. so I'm brainstorming)
@levparikian.bsky.social have you still got DMs on here or did you not do age verification?
2/2 The close-ups of my wildfire embroidery. I tried to get a glowing effect with the fire and embers with colours I chose. I cut up my favourite cardigan for the rough charred ground as it was the only fabric I had with the right colour and texture but its not needed in this heat anyway...
'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
You can't provide sustainable transport infrastructure before people move in. It will sit around unused. Instead wait for everyone to move in and become car dependent. Then do the minimum possible, extremely slowly. That's the English way.
A new housing development under construction in the Netherlands The cycle infrastructure is already in place, complete with junctions ready to connect to future homes, along with dedicated bus lanes Active and sustainable travel is planned from the very beginning, not bolted on as an afterthought
I will fight and die on the hill that no one fought braver and better in 1940 than the French army in June, knowing that their best troops had already been lost and the Germans would show them little mercy
This is profoundly upsetting
I’m so furious that we’re in a situation where now everybody in the world has to check their own behaviour, be on their guard in public and be suspicious of anyone wearing glasses, in case they’re being filmed by a pervert. All because Mark Zuckerberg is a greedy creep
Pervert glasses should be banned from general use.
Once again for those at the back: ‘Don’t speak ill of the dead’ is about your great aunt Elsie, who liked a long gin with a short tonic at elevenses, and blew your inheritance money betting on the horses. Speaking ill of absolute monsters is a moral obligation, actually.
Parents! What's the WORST swearword you'd be comfortable with your 8-12 year old reading in a story? Where do we stand on "arse"? (please be as prissy as you like, I'm trying to balance "word I want to use" with "can I be arsed with the complaints"?)
Certain convictions should never be regarded as spent for the purposes of political life.

"Oh, looks like my usual picture framer has closed, that's annoying, need to find another one." In what universe is "open 11-3 Monday to Friday, closed all weekend" a sensible opening hours strategy for what is very much an in person business model? I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY, MAKE IT EASIER!

are there any type of small space ‘constant’ air fresheners- not things you have to spray but like diffuser types- that are scent erasing but do not have an actual scent they’re giving off? Does that make sense? Asking for the ‘sensitive to smells’ flavour of spicy in my household
Finally! Someone in a position to do something about it has stated the bleedin' obvious. I hope he actually creates a system of safe routes.
"People want to see this issue addressed," Prime Minister Andy Burnham said in Dover, adding: "We also need to build a system that offers safe routes for people as well, because that also takes away the selling point of the gangs." www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
I feel incredibly strongly that if a government agency tells you something - about your immigration status, or your taxes, or whatever! - that turns out to be wrong because they made a mistake, and that mistake benefited you, that’s very much a ‘sucks to be the government’ problem.
Monique Hawkins, acting chief executive of the3million, said the impact of the Home Office’s retrospective review was devastating for many. "People applied to the EU settlement scheme in good faith...by building their lives in the UK and putting down roots." www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
