Actively annoyed by seeing some AI people smugly agree with each other that the reason we hate their shitty technology is that we resent it "lowering the barriers to entry" for the arts, which apparently the world of software development has always done.

Dear sound effect and music asset creators; Please stop using generative AI for your thumbnails. You're putting a giant label on your work that gives the impression it's low effort slop, even when the actual content might be excellent stuff!

"Game dev is one of those jobs you only do when you really want to. It's not going to make your parents proud, you're unlikely to get rich in an industry that lays off people for making superhits, and its a demanding & confrontative job. Why would you let a machine do the thing you're here to do?"

I spent the last few months talking to over 30 game developers about generative AI. It began as a sort of interview survey but became a pretty comprehensive collection of arguments against the technology altogether. www.gamesradar.com/games/why-so...

I am so fucking sick of my website getting scraped. Millions of requests per minute, somehow designed to bypass all my security rules, choking the site until it completely stops loading. If I were paying for bandwidth, it would cost me a fortune. How is this legal?

Fuck home video game consoles that cost a thousand dollars and have teraflops of gigashits. I hope they never make another one. Make more Gameboys, god damn it. MAKE GAMEBOYS AGAIN. I want $200 handheld gaming devices for cute little cheap games that will nonetheless change your life.
