This. Giving in to fascist demands for robbing trans people of their rights does NOT give fascists less power, it gives them more. Demand your politicians have spines because if they can't do the bare minimum of protecting a handful of kids in sports, how are they going to fight billionaires?

I think this is something candidates should lampshade relentlessly: “Why does my opponent want to talk constantly about five trans kids playing volleyball and some Twitch streamer in LA? Is that stuff really important to your daily life? If it’s not, why are they trying to make you feel like it is?”

Stop calling this a DC makeover. This is an illegal desecration of our capital and a huge waste of American families’ money. DC is sacred ground, and we shouldn’t minimize the real damage being done.
This is why you don't hand awards shows over to people who think that awards, clips, and speeches are the show's necessary evil. Know your audience.

His employer has told him that he cannot use the toilet while he is at work until they sort it out and cannot give him a timeframe to do so. They do [cut off] have disabled separate toilets.
In the mean time one of his female colleagues has accused him of sexual harassment because he was used their gendered toilet. His menstrual cycle meant he needed to use the toilet.
He's been with the employer for just over 5 years but only in this location for 18 months. The location is mainly male with just a handful of females, and his workshop only has male toilets.

Well that depends. Do you think words have meanings? Like, when people say things, should we attach linguistic definitions to the words they use? Or do you think, like, you know, nothing really means anything, language is just kinda jazz and we should just kinda groove and zone out?
We've got a Muslim man running the most multicultural city in the world and making space for all the people in it. That's what cultural victory over fundamentalism looks like, it's a shame that there's a part of the population that couldn't identify a cultural victory if it slapped them in the face.

On my run this morning I didn't notice a doe hanging out behind some bushes, and as she leapt out in front of me, startled, I yelled out, "SORRY ABOUT THAT," and it really did feel like we both simultaneously shook our heads at my ridiculousness in that moment.

You do you, commuter buddy, but nobody can possibly like Baked Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream this much.
