This case, much of which was captured on video, is hard to forget for anyone who comes across it. One of the authors working on this investigation followed a strict routine to protect himself: No more than three hours of work per day on the subject, preferably at the office rather than at home, with regular breaks. After descending into the depths of the case, he emerged saddened and disheartened by an obvious conclusion: When a woman's body is put on display in this way, many men rush to participate, whatever the circumstances. That was something the French Bukkake and Dominique Pelicot cases had already shown.
What exactly should we describe from the scenes of extreme violence in this case? We have decided, for the third part of our investigation, to recount in detail a weekend spent at the home of Christophe B. at the end of the winter, a period that has been given particular scrutiny in the judicial proceedings. We believe it is representative of the extremes in this case and necessary for a full understanding of what Christophe B.'s partners went through.
